3. Narrow Your Topic

Think what words you might use to find information on your topic (keywords). These words could include the artist's name, the art movement, or other art terms. Keep your search to one or two keywords at a time. Use "and" to link terms for your search. Put search terms that are more than one word in quotation marks, i.e. "abstract expressionism."

Monet and Impressionism
Bruegel and "Dutch Renaissance"
Pollock and "Abstract Expressionism"
Picasso and Cubism
Motherhood and art
"African American art" and "Harlem Renaissance"
