Citation styles are formats we use to cite our sources in academic writing. While there are many different types of citation styles, MLA and APA format are the two most common citation styles for college students to use. Sometimes it can be hard to tell which citation style a source is using and it can be confusing if you have to use MLA format for your English class, but then APA format for your psychology class.
