PSY 214 - Did Einstein Have a Learning Disability?

a guide to library resources related to the research assignment in Psychology 214

1. Getting Started

Exclamation PointFirst Things First - Assignment Requirements

Before you begin work on your project, examine the assignment closely and make sure you understand all the requirements.

Q. How many sources?

Altogether, a total of 10 references are required. You must use your textbook as one of your sources, and you should include other sources as needed.

Q. What kind of sources?

Your sources need to be authoritative and credible. Use library resources to find reliable sources.

Q. How do you cite sources?

You will use MLA format for your citations. You may want to remind yourself what information you need to create the MLA Works Cited list, which will be included on the last slide of your PowerPoint presentation. You are not required to reference your sources within the content of your presentation, but you may find that it is helpful to do it anyway. Citing references as you go can help you keep track of the sources you are using, and it can help the flow of your final presentation.

Q. What is due?

A presentation in the form of PowerPoint slides is due. Check your assignment or ask your instructor for specific requirements about the presentation.  Make note of all the parts of the assignment and create a checklist to make sure you don't forget any part.

Q. When is it due?

How long do you have to work on this paper or project? Is there one due date for everything or are there multiple due dates for different parts of the assignment?  Plan out your time, so you don't get stuck doing all the work at the last minute. Plan extra time in case you have problems or get stuck.
