Find Library Materials

Interlibrary Loan

Interlibrary Loan (requesting materials from another library) services are provided to SCC faculty, staff, and students who are in good standing with the library (no overdue items, not on restriction, etc). Pascal Delivers services should always be used as a first option, with interlibrary loan being second. Students may have up to 5 interlibrary loans at one time with the combined total of PASCAL Delivers and Interlibrary Loan items not exceeding 25. Faculty may have up to 10 with a combined total of 25.

For books, please check our Library Catalog and/or Library Databases for the needed item before you submit your request. If it is unavailable, please check first to see if the item is available from the Pascal Delivers Service. If an item is unavailable at SCC or via PASCAL Delivers, then we will be happy to place an ILL request.

For articles, please check the Library Databases or Ask a Librarian for assistance doing so before submitting an ILL request.

You can submit requests by filling out an ILL Request Form in the library (ask at the desk for a form) or electronically in the Library Catalog where you'll see the request form in the top menu. If you have any questions, please contact the library.

Most ILL requests are filled quickly, but some items may take several weeks. It is also possible that items may not be available . Please allow plenty of time. If your request is urgent, please let the library staff know, so that we may make every effort to ensure the needed item arrives in time. The library staff will notify you when your request is available.

When making a request, please bring/send all the information you can about the item needed or ask a library staff member to help you locate additional information. This helps to ensure that we can locate the exact item needed and will also help fill your request more quickly.
