New York Times (Online)

This page provides information on how to register for a New York Times online account for free through SCC Library's subscription. You must be a current student, faculty, or staff member to sign up and use your sccsc.edu email address. If you are on-campus when you register, you can just create your account. If you are off-campus you will be asked to enter your portal user and login to verify that you are associated with the college, before you can create an account. DO NOT USE THE SAME PASSWORD FOR THIS ACCOUNT AS YOUR SCC ACCOUNT.  IT WOULD COMPROMISE YOUR SCC ACCOUNT AND IS AGAINST SCC POLICIES TO SHARE YOUR USERNAME AND PASSWORD WITH THIRD PARTIES.

New Users - Create an Account - Use this link to create a free account to view the New York Times online. If you create an account and it is not working, contact New York Times for assistance at edu@nytimes.com  If you are unable to get assistance through New York Times email, please contact Ask a Librarian.

Note: You will periodically be required to renew your account if you're still associated with SCC. Please make note of your expiration date.

Returning Users - Once you have created an account using the link above, you may go straight to the New York Times website. Use the 'Log In' button at the top of the New York Times page with your account credentials.

This online subscription to the New York Times includes current content, as well as archived articles going back to 1851. In addition to English, there is a Spanish and Chinese version of the paper also.

Faculty can also register for New York Times in Education site that provides teaching resources that complement their content.
