Searching Opposing Viewpoints

  1. Start on the Library Website ( 
  2. Under Search & Find (the blue box), choose Databases (Articles).

  1. Under the Subject List, click Controversial Issues.
  2. Choose Gale in Context: Opposing Viewpoints (it is the first option).
    1. Note: if you are off-campus, you may be asked to sign in with your SCC email and password. You should use the same email and password that you use to log into the SCC Portal or D2L.

  1. On the opening page, if you scroll down to the bottom, you will see a section called Browse Issues with some subjects and links for topics. Click Browse All Issues to see the full list of options.

  1. From this list, choose a topic that interests you! It's okay if you want to look at a few topics before deciding on one.
