3. Identify an Urgent Problem
Once you've done some initial background reading about your country, it's time to narrow down
your country to what you really want to write about.
Through research, identify an urgent problem in the country you selected and create a non-profit organization to address that problem.
Create a Mission for Your Non-Profit Organization (Charity)
Imagine you are writing a brief summary of your charity that will be read by potential donors who know absolutely nothing about your charity or its work. An effective mission statement will be clear, concise, useful, and include the following information:
- Name of your non-profit organization (charity)
- What does your non-profit organization (charity) do?
- How does your non-profit organization (charity) do what they do?
Sample Mission Statement: "The American Red Cross, a humanitarian organization led by volunteers and guided by its congressional charter and the fundamental principal of the International Red Cross Movement, will provide relief to victims of disasters and help people prevent, prepare for and respond to emergencies." source: The American Red Cross
